2 Little Monkeys

Such a fun afternoon!! Landon had a much needed play date with Beckett this afternoon and the moms got the much needed time to catch up. These boys are 2 little monkeys...climbing up and down everything. All the other kids in the play area seemed a little too hopped up on sugar with no manners and the parents to compliment them. Becca and I naturally knew our 2 boys are the most well behaved kids. They were quite content playing, sliding, and sharing snacks. Landon has never been too fond of slides, until recently. Beckett taught Landon how to slide on his tummy, which Landon proceeded to perform repeatedly. No fear at all...lots of giggles and smiles. The boys move around that place at lighting speed, so getting photos was a difficult task, but I managed to sneak a few snapshots in. Can't wait to do it again next week.

"You play with the top and I'll do the bottom!"

"Where am I?"

"Hi friend!"

I just had to get a video of Landon sliding to show Scot.

Landonese

Landon has a few choice words he has become proficient at speaking, "Mom", "Dad", "What's this?", and "that". However, he has his own trademark language, Landonese. His saying is repeated quite often throughout the day in many volumes of speech. If it were to be spelled, it might be something like this "goodtadoogtagoo". Those of you with little ones, put their tiny ears near your computer and maybe they can translate for his inquiring parents.

My Boys!!

Sweet Landon can be near falling asleep on his feet, until his hero, his Daddy arrives home. I love to hear the laughing and watching the two of them together!!!

Bubbles, bubbles, everywhere......

Remember Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and the fizzy lifting drink? I set up a bubble maker in the backyard for Landon today and felt as if we had been transported to the eccentric scenes of Willy Wonka. Absolutely one of the funnest ideas we've done! He had a blast trying to catch all the bubbles with his mouth and hands, not to mention a little education time, working on our baby sign language for bubbles. Three bottles of bubbles later, we called it a day.

Just another day at the park!

Landon and I decided to take our chances with the weather this morning and head out to the park. He became quite engulfed with the swarm of quacking ducks. I brought a bag of bagels for "duck food", which Landon quickly decided he wanted to share their stale treat.

This kid loves the sand...I naturally had to resist my germaphobe instincts and not to follow him around with sanitizer. So I dove right in there playing in the sand and making sand piles too.

Soaking up our son!!

Every day with our sweet little boy is mesmerizing! Moment by moment he learns so much and we just can't get enough of just sitting back and watching him, captivated by what he knows, learns, and says. Landon is soaking in every movement we make and we soak in all of his!! A few precious moments captured today...

Just doin' some writing, like Mom and Dad!

Playing MacGyver with items he collected from a drawer...watches, a flashlight, gum, and a box!

A little light cooking. He organized and lined up the pans and lids all by himself!

Why walk, when you can flip?!

Yesterday marked the start of Landon's semester at The Little Gym. Landon's recent, favorite trick to perform is back flips! When we hold him he loves to arch backwards, use his feet to push off our chest, then swings them around to a solid landing. To any first-timer viewing this trick, it can be quite alarming. Landon tries to perform forward flips over a toy that looks like a gymnast bar. We have quite the little gymnast on our hands! With that said, we felt he needed to get back to his gym class.

Through the entire class, Landon did not stop smiling. He was in toddler heaven, getting to do flips, play on the bars, and climbing up and down the stairs. Needless to say, he did not want to leave!!! Can't wait to see what his next upcoming stunt to perform will be!
