Easter

001 005

Happy Easter!!!  Sunday morning, Easter basket treasure hunt.  The bunny did good this year….a basket with a few of Lando’s favorite things: Dino book, a water torpedo gun, and Cheetos (a treat I don’t let him indulge in).  Baking preparations done and we headed off to my Dad’s house (Tati and Nani) for more celebrations.

Wishing my other 2 out of state brothers, their wives, and my niece and nephew could join us!!  The rest of the crew as follows: left to right- Landon, myself, Jake (16), Bella (11), Tanner (17), and Scot.   April 8th happened to also by my brother Jake’s 16th birthday.  The day was a double family celebration!!  Jakey selected Easter/birthday dinner this year to be non-traditional, homemade lasagna and pizza.  Delicious!!

The day held some extra fun surprises.  My brother, Tanner, sent his girlfriend, Kaitlyn, on a scavenger hunt leading her the final spot where he asked her to prom!  Of course she said, “yes”!

My 11 year old sister, Bella, had been working on her baking skills and made this baseball diamond cake for Jake’s birthday.  She is quite the little baker!  Jake’s girlfriend happens to have a birthday just days after his.  He wanted to give her her gifts with the family present.  My brothers are serious romantics!!!  Watching them was so awesome and exciting.  Scot and I were reminded they we were their ages when we met, I was 15 and Scot 17….Time sure has flown by.

Another year down, many, many more to go…..

My love turned the big 3-5!!  He’s not too thrilled with the speed of age, the salt and pepper hair, and crows feet that are forming.  My response, “WHATEVER!!”.  Scot gets better looker and oh my, how I love the salt and pepper in his hair and beard.  Vanity aside, he is one of the smartest men I know, he is kind, generous, incredibly calculated, an amazing dad, has the sense of humor of an old man….and he is all mine!!  Happy Birthday, babe!

Couldn’t resist posting this pic of my other love, taken when we were waiting for Scot for his birthday dinner!!

Olympic Games and Egg Scramble

044

Landon’s school had this year’s 2nd annual Olympic Games.  With the emphasis on fitness and health in his classroom, they bring it outside to exercise and play different physical events.  Soccer, hurdles, long distance running, throwing….the kids were exhausted yet in great spirits at the end of the afternoon.072

Getting ready for the egg scramble, Landon and Carson wear their empty Easter baskets. 090 The egg scramble isn’t a free for all, grab as many eggs as you can.  The scramble was in conjunction with the classroom lesson of the colors of the rainbow.  Each child is to collect 6 eggs, one of each color to make a rainbow.  092 On your mark, get set….094 GO!!!!!!096
